Stream delivers web-based sales order management for IBM i based ERP software

AB World Foods, supplier of brands such as Patak’s, Blue Dragon and Tabasco, processes thousands of orders a month across tens of thousands of product lines using Infor BPCS (and Infor LX) on an IBM i. Their challenge was that major retailers used EDI but many smaller customers submitted orders by phone, fax, email or post, creating manual work, slow response and no self-service ordering—Stream was brought in to deliver web-based sales order management for their IBM i–based ERP.

Stream was configured to run on the same IBM i and reuse BPCS data and logic to provide a web/tablet/mobile self-service portal, automatic order injection into Infor BPCS, bulk import and validation of email/Excel orders, real-time validation and proactive notifications. As a result, Stream reduced manual intervention, sped up and improved the accuracy of order entry and processing, gave customer service a complete view of current and historical orders for faster query resolution, improved customer satisfaction and delivered a clear return on investment without additional hardware or OS.
