Case Study: Fresh Logistics achieves streamlined, compliant 24/7 temperature-controlled logistics with Stream

A Stream Case Study

Preview of the Fresh Logistics Case Study

Replacing a legacy transport planning system with Stream has enabled Fresh Logistics to flourish - whatever the challenge

Fresh Logistics, a specialist temperature‑controlled courier operating 24/7 from depots in Derby, Wembley and Manchester, was hampered by a dated, inflexible transport planning system that forced them to run five separate products and rely on paperwork for routing, driver management, compliance and customer communication. To meet complex temperature‑controlled, regulatory and multi‑drop requirements they selected Stream’s cloud‑based transport management system (route optimisation, driver and fleet management, mobile ePOD app and customer portal) to replace their legacy setup.

Stream implemented an integrated TMS that consolidated quoting, planning, driver qualifications, vehicle maintenance scheduling, real‑time tracking and customer portals, and integrated with Sage for invoicing. The outcome was tangible: Stream replaced five disparate systems, enabled instant complex quotes over the phone, automated compliance reminders and prevented incorrect driver/vehicle allocations, and allowed remote operation with minimal disruption when 75% of the fleet was flood‑damaged — delivering faster turnaround, stronger resilience and much improved customer visibility and service.
