YesHelp Connects the Displaced Women of Ukraine To Female Volunteers With Stream

YesHelp is a non-profit created to connect displaced Ukrainian women with verified local volunteers who can offer emotional support and practical help. To do this safely and effectively, YesHelp needed a mature chat solution with autotranslation capabilities that could be quickly embedded in its app, while also helping users communicate in their native languages and protecting their privacy. Stream Chat was chosen for its strong APIs, fine-grained customization, and responsive support.

Stream donated its chat services pro-bono and helped YesHelp integrate the Stream React Chat SDK quickly, with the team getting about 90% of the way there without support. The result was a secure in-app chat experience with autotranslation that removed language barriers and made it easier for displaced Ukrainians to ask for help. By making communication more accessible and trustworthy, Stream became a core part of YesHelp’s humanitarian platform.
