Student+ is an Edinburgh-based edtech app that helps university students connect before arriving at school. After initially using another chat provider, the company faced a crisis when that vendor suddenly discontinued service and gave them just one week to export data, putting a core part of the product at risk. Student+ needed a reliable chat solution to support its MVP and growing student community.

Student+ switched to Stream Chat, using Stream’s React Native SDK for Chat and trialing the product before implementation.
