Compass Education, Australia’s leading school management software provider, needed a scalable way to streamline communication for its 3 million daily active users, including teachers, parents, students, and school staff. Compass Education chose Stream and integrated Stream Chat’s React and React Native SDKs into its web, Android, and iOS apps to power its new in-app messaging module, CompassConnect. The solution added threaded replies, file sharing, group chat, moderation, and GDPR-aligned controls, and Stream’s support helped the team complete an MVP in just three days; the company also piloted the rollout with nearly 5,000 active users and reported improved communication, safer conversations, and stronger engagement.
