Aqua at Lakeshore East, part of Magellan Development Group’s Lakeshore East community in Chicago, faced major project and document management challenges on its 87-story mixed-use high-rise. With a globally dispersed team of architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants, the project needed a better way to control document issuances, manage multi-time-zone approvals, and give all trades reliable access to the latest information. StratusVue’s PlansandSpecs was selected to help manage the workflow.

StratusVue implemented PlansandSpecs as a centralized online repository with role-based access, multi-level review and approval, intelligent document indexing, and web-based training. The result was a smoother digital workflow that helped Aqua at Lakeshore East finish a year ahead of schedule and save significant money. StratusVue supported the management of 17,201 shared documents, 6,284 electronic submittals, 2,681 RFIs, 14,050 punchlist items, and 359,772 total system actions.
