Albian Sands Energy Inc. operates the Muskeg River Mine, an oil sands operation producing about 155,000 barrels per day (roughly 10% of Canada’s oil needs). The company needed a highly reliable, always-on asset management solution to centrally manage PLCs and control-system software across remote mining assets, where downtime would cause costly maintenance delays and risk loss of security, version control and auditability.
