Preview of the Taizhou Municipal Government Case Study

Municipal government protects its gateway website against downtime and data loss with STRATUS everRUN ENTERPRISE

Taizhou City’s municipal government, which serves more than 5 million residents, relies on its gateway website (www.zjtz.gov.cn) to provide information and services to businesses and the public. Because citizens and enterprises depend on the site for a wide range of services, the government needed to eliminate unplanned downtime and data loss to protect service continuity, public trust, and its e‑government initiatives.

Working with China Great Wall Computer, Taizhou implemented Stratus everRun Enterprise and everRun SplitSite on redundant Sugon Intel x86 servers running Windows and SQL Server. The solution pairs protected virtual machines for seamless failover, mirrors I/O to prevent data loss, and replicates across geographically separated sites for disaster tolerance. The deployment proved easy to manage and has delivered continuous 24/7/365 availability, built‑in disaster recovery, and reliable support for the city’s online services.
