ALWAYS-ON AVAILABILITY For CAD Enables Police, Fire And Emergency Response At The World’s Busiest Airport

Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, the world’s busiest by passengers and flights, needed an always-on computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system to coordinate police, fire and emergency response across its 4,700-acre campus and integrate with the City of Atlanta’s systems. The airport’s new Centralized Command and Control Center required high availability and manageability to ensure dispatchers could reliably route the right resources for every incident.

The airport deployed PSSI’s RESPONSE CAD running on a fault-tolerant Stratus ftServer (Windows/SQL) with mobile field terminals, dynamic mapping and RMS integration, backed by 24/7 proactive Stratus support. The result: seamless interoperability with city systems, easier customization and administration, lower support costs, and no unplanned CAD downtime in five years, with only minimal scheduled maintenance.
