The German Automobile Club (ADAC) of Lower Saxony/Saxony-Anhalt created a mobile "ADAC Digital Diagnostics" test lane to perform thorough vehicle inspections and immediately upload results for members to view online. The project required 24/7 access to test data, uninterrupted operation on a virtual platform, and a low-maintenance solution that a small regional IT team could run without heavy administration.

ADAC installed Stratus Avance high-availability software on two Dell x86 servers (with Invenate support), using embedded XenServer virtualization, synchronous mirroring, and automatic failover. The one-day installation delivered >99.99% availability (under 52 minutes of downtime per year), remote web-based management, no outages since launch, and easy scalability to support additional test stations and the branch’s 1.2 million members.
