Vienna General Hospital, Europe’s largest university clinic, faced a costly, decentralized PC-based infrastructure that created high support and administrative overhead and a staffing bottleneck. To centralize management and extend endpoint lifecycles, Vienna General Hospital selected Stratodesk and its NoTouch thin client software suite (NoTouch OS and NoTouch Center) after a 12‑month evaluation.

Stratodesk deployed NoTouch-powered thin clients in phased rollouts—replacing 3,000 PC workstations in the healthcare sector and 3,000 desktops in research (about 6,000 total)—and used NoTouch Center for enterprise-grade, inheritable profile management and 100% remote administration. The Stratodesk solution lowered costs, freed IT resources for other projects, extended hardware lifecycles beyond three-year refresh cycles, and targets about 80% of endpoints running NoTouch after phase three.
