Évreux Portes de Normandie - Customer Case Study

Évreux Portes de Normandie (EPN), the inter-communal organization centered in Évreux, needed a secure, centrally managed thin‑client solution to run touchscreen Raspberry Pi kiosks and repurposed Lenovo desktops across many sites. IT Manager Brunel Gilles required an OS that would not store sensitive data on endpoints, support both ARM and x86 hardware, and be configurable and deployable remotely. EPN selected Stratodesk (via French reseller CONTINUUM Technologies) and its NoTouch Desktop suite—including NoTouch OS and NoTouch Center—to address these needs.

Stratodesk deployed NoTouch OS bare‑metal on Raspberry Pi and x86 devices and used NoTouch Center for centralized management, role‑based configurations, automatic updates and rapid provisioning. The solution eliminated the need for on‑site IT visits, enabled device-specific settings (e.g., Raspberry Pi 4 vs. Lenovo desktops), and reduced deployment time to under five minutes for new endpoints. As a result, Évreux Portes de Normandie now runs hundreds of Stratodesk licenses across the community with improved security, simplified administration and faster rollouts.
