To address this, they partnered with talent intelligence vendor Stratigens to gain a comprehensive understanding of the UK talent landscape and identify skills gaps.
Using its labour market analytics platform, Stratigens mapped the talent pool for six niche engineering skill sets by location, industry, and career background. The analysis revealed extremely scarce talent, with fewer than 10 individuals possessing some required skill blends. The solution identified new, untapped talent sources, over 20 specific social channels for sourcing, and validated apprenticeships as a long-term strategy. This data enabled Arqiva to make confident decisions on hiring versus building skills internally, significantly improving candidate quality and informing their strategic talent planning.
