Onyx built and tested a proof-of-concept MicroStrategy environment on AWS using CloudFormation templates and MicroStrategy engineering support; business users ran daily operations for two weeks with no disruptions and faster processing, enabling a full migration of MicroStrategy to AWS. The cloud solution delivered scalable storage, easier administration, collaborator access for after-hours support, and a 75% faster upgrade cycle (from ~3 months to 3 weeks), with plans to migrate on-prem databases to further reduce costs and improve agility.
