PT Bank OCBC NISP, a long-established Indonesian bank and OCBC subsidiary with 380 offices across 76 cities, needed better visibility into its financial and operational performance for an 11-member Board of Directors and seven regional coordinators. Management relied on slow, manual consolidation from disparate databases, producing outdated reports and leaving executives unable to access timely insights or review performance while on the move.

In 2011 the bank deployed MicroStrategy Web BI and a Mobile App to provide a unified information architecture and a single, easy-to-use web/mobile interface; code-free design tools sped app development with minimal disruption. As a result, executives gained real-time, enterprise-wide analytics on tablets, intuitive dashboards for fact-based decisions, reduced data-gathering costs, improved branch and sales monitoring, and better support for regulatory compliance, with plans to expand the BI rollout across the organization.
