Weber State University - Customer Case Study

Weber State University’s Advanced Research and Solutions Center supports local aerospace, defense and advanced materials industries while training students in R&D and additive manufacturing. The center’s existing 3D printers were older, slow, and costly to operate with limited material choices, constraining its ability to serve students and industry—so the university sought an updated additive solution from Stratasys, deploying the Stratasys F370CR composite printer.

Stratasys supplied the F370CR, which prints with two carbon-fiber-reinforced materials (FDM Nylon‑CF10 and ABS‑CF10) plus six additional engineering thermoplastics, enabling high-strength tooling like aircraft check tools and bolt extraction parts. The Stratasys F370CR delivered faster, more consistent prints, broader material options, and easier operation, improving the center’s capacity to develop reliable, leading-edge 3D printed solutions for students and local customers.
