Utah Trikes - Customer Case Study

Utah Trikes, a custom trike, quad and wheelchair maker in Payson, Utah, faced long lead times and high costs from small production runs and complex machining for bespoke parts. To overcome prototyping and manufacturing limits they turned to Stratasys, adopting Stratasys Fortus 3D printers and the FDM Nylon 12CF material to create testable, functional prototypes and production-grade components.

Using Stratasys FDM Nylon 12CF on-site, Utah Trikes gained design freedom and printed parts strong enough for end use—about 120 of 450 parts on one product are now 3D printed. Stratasys’ solution cut production time from two months to two weeks, reduced costs by 8–10x, and delivered faster, repeatable parts with superior stiffness-to-weight performance across prototyping, jigs/fixtures and short-run production.
