Triple Eight Race Engineering - Customer Case Study

Triple Eight Race Engineering, one of Australia’s most successful motor racing teams, needed faster, more precise prototyping to develop and validate complex parts within strict V8 Supercars regulations. To accelerate design and testing, Triple Eight turned to Stratasys, deploying the Dimension/Dimension Elite 3D Printer and ABSplus thermoplastic via FDM technology to produce in-house concept models and functional prototypes.

Stratasys’ Dimension 3D Printer allowed Triple Eight to produce complex, testable parts (helmet ducts, brake pedal pads, seat mounts, etc.) on demand, cutting model production time by close to 70% and reducing costs by about 90%. Using Stratasys technology for rapid iteration and accurate prototypes shortened design cycles, improved fit-and-function validation, and helped sustain the team’s competitive performance.
