Third-Generation, Family-Run Dental Laboratory Expands Business with TrueDent

Posca Brothers, a third-generation family-run dental laboratory in Long Beach, California, needed to modernize a 65‑year analogue workflow to meet growing demand for high-quality removable prosthetics (dentures and partials) and expand capacity. Led by Alex Posca and AJ Posca, the 40‑employee lab already ran four Stratasys printers (two J5 DentaJets and two Objet260s) and turned to Stratasys’ TrueDent resin to offer full‑color, 3D‑printed dentures to dentists and patients ahead of the wider market.

Using Stratasys TrueDent on the J5 DentaJet, Posca Brothers moved to batch multicolor, monolithic printing with exact shade control—eliminating tooth bonding and cutting labor. The Stratasys solution enabled roughly 34 multicolored dentures per 12‑hour run (about a 10× increase in production capacity), faster turnaround, lower inventory overhead, and better clinical outcomes (doctors reported an average reduction of two patient visits for relines), with strong positive feedback from clinicians and patients.
