Sub-Zero Group - Customer Case Study

Sub‑Zero Group, a maker of luxury home appliances, faced growing prototyping demands for large parts—some refrigerator components stretch beyond smaller printers’ build envelopes—forcing costly, time‑consuming outsourcing. To address capacity and throughput constraints in its development lab, Sub‑Zero Group turned to Stratasys and its large‑format 3D printing solution, the Stratasys F770.

Stratasys delivered the F770 with a 39 × 24 × 24‑inch (over 13 cubic feet) build volume, enabling Sub‑Zero Group to print bigger parts in‑house rather than in pieces or via external vendors. The result was a significant reduction in outsourcing, faster turnaround and improved throughput, with Sub‑Zero Group reporting roughly 30–40% cost savings and greater speed‑to‑market using the Stratasys F770.
