Spectra Group 3D Prints Field-Ready End-Use Products with Origin

Spectra Group, a UK-based provider of mission-critical communication systems and security capabilities, needed to reduce outsourcing and improve the flexibility, speed, and cost-effectiveness of its product development process. Working with Stratasys partner SYS Systems, the company explored additive manufacturing to expand in-house prototyping and manufacturing for both prototypes and end-use products.

Stratasys’ Origin 3D printer, powered by P3™ DLP technology, enabled Spectra Group to produce high-quality, field-ready parts in-house with fast print times, minimal post-processing, low waste, and on-demand production. The result was faster product launches, reduced reliance on injection mold tooling, improved flexibility, and the ability to manufacture reliable end-use parts directly from its Herefordshire site.
