SJD Hospital was facing a challenge with 3D printing delicate anatomical models, as the standard support removal process using water jetting or manual methods frequently caused breakage and damage to these fragile parts.

The solution implemented by Stratasys utilized their WSS™150 water soluble support material. This allowed for easy, hands-free removal by simply placing the models in tap water to dissolve the supports, enabling the production of extremely delicate parts as thin as 0.5mm without risk of breakage. The impact was an expanded range of producible models with perfect safety and no requirement for special skills during the support removal process.
