Schiner 3D Repro Brings Ultra-Realistic, First-of-Their Kind 3D Printed Snow Globes to Life with the Stratasys J750

Schiner 3D Repro, a 3D modeling, scanning and printing specialist, wanted to add ultra-realistic, customized 3D printed snow globes to its product line but faced the challenge of producing very small, highly detailed figures in true-to-life color and texture while remaining cost-effective and fast. To meet these needs the company chose the Stratasys J750, a PolyJet-based, full-color multi-material 3D printer.

Using the Stratasys J750 (and streamlined GrabCAD Print workflows), Schiner 3D Repro achieved precise edges, vivid color definition and smooth surface finishes at high speeds—producing around 200 varied figurines in one build in under 24 hours and serving orders from 1 to 3,000. The solution delivered measurable benefits: layer resolution down to 0.014 mm, a color gamut of up to 500,000 colors, proven material longevity in water, and production time reductions of up to 85% versus other methods.
