Rolleri S.p.A, a leading Italian sheet metal fabrication supplier founded in 1985, needed to shorten lead times and deliver customized tooling with complex geometries across aerospace, automotive, furniture and appliance markets. To modernize its processes, Rolleri S.p.A evaluated additive manufacturing and selected Stratasys’ FDM Fortus 3D printing solution (procured via local partner Energy Group) to produce durable mold inserts and bespoke tooling using materials like PC and PC ISO.

Using the Stratasys Fortus system, Rolleri S.p.A runs the printer two shifts daily to produce prototype and production mold tools, enabling rapid iteration and hybrid solutions. The Stratasys implementation reduced lead times from three–four weeks to two–three days, cut costs by about 30% per order, increased Rolleri’s product portfolio by 4–5%, removed capacity constraints that previously forced order declines, and delivered clear internal efficiency and ROI improvements.
