Rennschmiede-Pforzheim 3D prints battery case in 20 hours with Stratasys

Rennschmiede-Pforzheim, a student-led racing team from Pforzheim University, needed a non-conductive case to house the battery for its Formula Student electric race car. The team's challenge was that traditional manufacturing methods like machining or molding a one-off part from a polymer like PEEK were too costly and impractical. By 3D printing the battery case with Stratasys, the team achieved significant results. The part was produced in just 20 hours and met the required flame retardant specifications.
