Reliable, Rapid Prototyping with Realize, Inc. – Neo Stereolithography 3D Printer Upgrade Yields Better Parts and Cost Savings

Realize, Inc., a rapid prototyping and 3D printing service bureau, faced rising demand for large stereolithography (SL) parts but was constrained by reliability issues and high maintenance on legacy machines. To meet requests for bigger, higher-quality parts with faster turnaround and less finishing, Realize selected Stratasys and its Neo800 SL 3D printer as the replacement solution.

Stratasys delivered the Neo800 with an 800 x 800 x 600 mm build envelope and an open-material platform (running Somos EvoLVe 128), enabling higher throughput, faster builds, and improved sidewall quality. The Neo800 let Realize print large prototypes (one example totaled ~400 hours across six sections), cut assembly and finishing to just hours, reduced machine crashes and rebuilds, and materially lowered downtime and costs—shortening lead times and improving service capacity.
