Case Study: Seong Yun Tech achieves rapid, cost-effective prototyping with Stratasys J55 Prime

A Stratasys Case Study

Preview of the Seong Yun Tech Case Study

Rapid prototyping capabilities became a major competitive advantage

Seong Yun Tech, a South Korean manufacturer and OEM/ODM of semi-permanent makeup machines founded in 2010, faced slow, costly prototyping and frequent design changes that hampered product development and after-sales satisfaction. To overcome long lead times and high small-batch costs, the company turned to Stratasys and its 3D printing solutions, initially adopting the Objet30 Pro and later the full‑color, multi‑material J55 Prime.

Using Stratasys printers and PolyJet materials, Seong Yun Tech moved from outsourced machining and molding to in‑house additive manufacturing, enabling physical prototypes for customer review and rapid iteration. The change cut prototyping cost from KRW 10 million to KRW 100,000 and shortened turnaround from about a month to two–three days, boosting decision speed, improving ergonomics and packaging, and increasing sales and manufacturing agility with Stratasys technology.
