Case Study: Arad Group cuts time to market by five weeks and slashes prototype costs by 80% with Stratasys PolyJet 3D Printing

A Stratasys Case Study

Preview of the Arad Group Case Study

PolyJet Technology Propels High-Requirement Prototyping.

Arad Group, a global leader in water-measurement solutions, faced the challenge of quickly producing watertight, injection-molded prototypes that could be ultrasonically welded and tested in the final production materials. To speed iterations and cut costs, Arad turned to Stratasys and its PolyJet 3D Printing technology, using Digital ABS to bring mold production in-house.

Using Stratasys PolyJet, Arad printed four-part injection molds in about 10 hours for roughly $2,000, enabling low-volume runs with production materials (Grilamid TR90 and ABS 757) and real-world welding tests. The Stratasys solution reduced Arad’s time to market by five weeks and lowered prototype production costs by 80% versus traditional $5,000–$20,000 metal molds, delivering clear, measurable speed and cost benefits.
