A Stratasys Case Study
Toy State International, a manufacturer that launches more than 200 new toys a year, needed faster, lower‑cost functional prototyping that used production‑grade materials and could withstand performance testing. Already using Stratasys PolyJet for concept models, Toy State faced long, expensive subcontracted workflows for robust prototypes and sought an in‑house solution to speed design verification and reduce modeling labor and logistics.
Stratasys solved the problem by adding the Stratasys F370 FDM 3D Printer and GrabCAD Print workflow, enabling in‑house 3D printing in ABS and PC‑ABS for strong, lightweight parts (for example, a drone frame). The result: Toy State moved prototyping in‑house, cut prototyping and logistics costs, and shortened development—reducing drone development from as long as a year to about eight months—while improving collaboration and print monitoring via GrabCAD Print.
