OTH Regensburg brings 45 degree programs to life with Stratasys 3D printing

OTH Regensburg, a large technical university in Germany, sought to provide its students with hands-on experience in applied research and engineering. The challenge was to move beyond traditional manufacturing constraints to rapidly and accurately bring complex concepts to life for various industries. To achieve this, the university's Sensorik-Applikationszentrum (SappZ) center invested in Stratasys PolyJet 3D printing technology.

The solution from Stratasys provided students with access to multi-material 3D printing, enabling the production of highly precise and functional parts like sensor housings and micro cases. This transformed the educational experience, shifting the students' mindset to "construction without limitation" and dramatically improving the quality of their projects. The results were profound, giving a broader student population access to this technology and fostering new ways of thinking about design and production.
