MA CAD/CAM streamlines customised production with multi-material, multi-colour 3D printing

MA CAD/CAM, a second-generation family-owned dental lab in Germany, was looking for a way to complement its labor-intensive CAD/CAM milling operations with more efficient digital production. The lab needed higher accuracy, less post-processing, and a workflow that could keep pace with growing demand for customized dental applications. Stratasys provided the J5 DentaJet and J3 DentaJet multi-material 3D printers to help address these needs.

With Stratasys’ DentaJet printers, MA CAD/CAM gained high-accuracy, full-color, multi-material printing for dental models, surgical guides, gingiva masks, and other biocompatible applications. The new workflow let the lab print up to 30 models per run and around 300 dental applications per month, while reducing manual labor, turnaround time, and costs. The improved realism and color matching also enhanced patient presentation and confidence, and Stratasys notes the solution delivered precision, efficiency, and no post-processing.
