Korean Design Guru Meets the Stratasys J750 3D Printer

Korea-based Innodesign, founded by design leader Kim Young-se, needed a faster, more realistic way to move from concept to high-fidelity prototypes. To replace time-consuming, monochrome fabrication and heavy post-processing, Innodesign turned to Stratasys and its Stratasys J Series 3D Printer to achieve true photorealism in the concept and rendering process.

Stratasys delivered a multi-color, multi-material solution with automatic color mapping (up to 360,000 colors) that produced photorealistic prototypes and dramatically reduced post-processing. Using the Stratasys J Series, Innodesign cut prototype cost from $900–$1,300 (traditional methods) to about $88, shortened lead time from up to two weeks to 8 hours, and realized roughly 90% cost savings and a 97% reduction in lead time.
