Case Study: Kinetic Vision achieves hyper-realistic, full-color transparent prototypes with Stratasys J55

A Stratasys Case Study

Preview of the Kinetic Vision Case Study

Kinetic Vision uses the J55 to improve product development

Kinetic Vision, a Cincinnati-based product development consultancy, faced a difficult prototyping challenge for a client, AeroFlexx: create realistic, transparent packaging prototypes with full-color graphics, legible text and visible internal structure that traditional opaque SLA models and time-consuming labeling/assembly couldn’t convey. To overcome this, Kinetic Vision turned to Stratasys and installed the Stratasys J55 3D Printer powered by PolyJet Technology.

Using the Stratasys J55 with VeroClear and VeroVivid materials, Kinetic Vision produced semitransparent, Pantone-accurate, full-color prototypes that reveal internal chambers and layered graphics in about a day, eliminating multi-step post-processing. The result was faster iteration, clearer client communication (converting AeroFlexx’s CTO), better marketing/demo pieces, and reduced time and cost compared with prior methods—demonstrating tangible improvements in turnaround and presentation quality thanks to Stratasys.
