Case Study: Jones Plastics achieves faster product validation with Stratasys PolyJet technology

A Stratasys Case Study

Preview of the Jones Plastics Case Study

Jones Plastics accelerates product validation with Stratasys and 2,500+ employees across six facilities

Jones Plastics, a custom injection molding company, faced a challenge in helping its customers validate product designs. Traditional prototyping methods often lacked the realism and functional performance needed for confident decision-making before committing to expensive tooling. To strengthen its in-house capabilities, Jones Plastics turned to vendor Stratasys and implemented their PolyJet technology using a J826 printer.

The solution from Stratasys involved integrating PolyJet 3D printing into a digital workflow to produce highly realistic, full-color, and functional prototypes. This allowed Jones Plastics to create both visual models for customer approval and durable, functional prototypes using materials like ToughONE for testing. The results included faster customer feedback, the elimination of outsourced prototyping, and a reduction in development time and cost, ultimately accelerating product validation for their clients.
