A Stratasys Case Study
Biogenic Dental Corporation, a full-service dental lab in Utica, New York founded in 1906, faced loss of skilled technicians who produced partial-frame patterns by hand wax‑up. To maintain capacity and modernize production, Biogenic turned to Stratasys and invested in the Objet Eden260VS Dental Advantage to automate partial-framework fabrication.
Using the Stratasys Objet Eden260VS Dental Advantage, Biogenic increased throughput (printing close to 30 frames in 6–7 hours versus 18–20 frames in 10–12 hours on their prior system), giving them capacity to run up to ~60 frames a day against average demand of 40–45. The change improved turnaround to about 4–5 days, boosted accuracy and consistency, allowed easy reprints from CAD files, redeployed staff to other roles, and helped Biogenic sustain and grow its partial frame business.
