A Stratasys Case Study
i-Tork Controls, a designer and manufacturer of electric and pneumatic actuators, struggled with slow, costly prototyping: outsourcing a gearbox prototype took about a month and cost roughly KRW 1.5 million, and an entry‑level 3D printer produced low success rates. To speed development and protect confidentiality, i-Tork engaged Stratasys for a PolyJet 3D printing solution.
Stratasys demonstrated a VeroClear benchmark and supplied the Objet30 Pro for in‑house prototyping, allowing visualization of internal components and far higher print success. With Stratasys’ solution i-Tork cut prototype lead time from one month to one week (≈76% faster) and reduced cost per gearbox prototype from KRW 1.5M to KRW 400K (≈73% savings), while lowering material and labor waste and improving design iteration speed.
