Humanitas University 3D Printing for Research, Education & Surgery

Humanitas Research Hospital, through its Humanitas University campus in Milan, needed a way to support research, education, and clinical work with more realistic medical models. To address this, the institution turned to Stratasys and its J850 Digital Anatomy 3D printer to help create lifelike anatomical and pathological models for training and surgical preparation.

With Stratasys J850 Digital Anatomy technology, the 3D Innovation Lab can mix resins to reproduce tissue characteristics, produce patient-specific models from imaging data, and deliver finished parts quickly with minimal post-processing. The result has been faster training, better pre-surgical planning, and improved realism for complex cases, with more than 200 models already produced for hospital and university use.
