Case Study: Gosiger Manufacturing achieves faster machine-tool innovation with Stratasys composite 3D printing

A Stratasys Case Study

Preview of the Gosiger Manufacturing Case Study

Gosiger Manufacturing uses Stratasys to create a parts catcher with FDM Nylon-CF10 that's 67% stronger and 190% stiffer

Gosiger Manufacturing, a leading machine tool distributor, faced a challenge with a two-turret lathe where newly machined hose clamp halves would fall to the floor and be carried away. A traditional parts catcher was expensive, limited the machine's functionality, and reduced its efficiency.

Stratasys provided a solution using their F370CR composite 3D printer and FDM Nylon-CF10 material to create a high-performance, turret-mounted parts catcher. This innovative design did not restrict the machine's travel and allowed it to operate at full efficiency. The 3D printed part was strong and stiff due to the carbon fiber composite material, enabling Gosiger to overcome their manufacturing challenge.
