Glidewell Dental, the world’s largest manufacturer of custom dental implants and services, needed a better way to scale production of surgical guides without sacrificing quality. As demand grew, the team faced inconsistent print results, fit issues in assembly, frequent overnight print failures, and long post-processing times that created backlogs.

Stratasys addressed these issues with the J3 DentaJet, a PolyJet 3D dental printer that supports multi-material printing and streamlined workflow. With Stratasys, Glidewell Dental said it could triple or even quadruple capacity overnight, increasing output from 40 surgical guides in 10 hours with two machines to 100 surgical guides in 8 hours with one machine, while improving accuracy, consistency, and same-day shipping capability.
