EndoCure detects 1mm lesions with Stratasys Digital Anatomy 3D-printed phantoms

EndoCure, a healthcare diagnostics startup, faced the challenge of validating its Revealan™ robotic ultrasound platform for the early detection of small endometriosis lesions. Off-the-shelf ultrasound phantoms were inadequate for testing, as they lacked the ability to simulate small lesions or replicate complex human tissue properties. To address this, EndoCure partnered with vendor Stratasys.

Stratasys implemented a solution using its J850™ Digital Anatomy™ Printer and PolyJet™ materials to create custom, multi-material phantoms that behaved like human tissue under ultrasound. This allowed EndoCure to quantify system accuracy and demonstrate the detection of lesions as small as 1mm, a feat manual ultrasound consistently missed. The results accelerated EndoCure's clinical trial readiness by providing a consistent, repeatable model for benchmarking and software optimization.
