DynaFlex Scales-Up Clear Aligner Capabilities

DynaFlex, a St. Ann, Missouri dental lab founded in 1965 that serves orthodontic products, appliance manufacturing, 3D digital services and dental sleep medicine, needed to scale clear aligner production but was limited by slow printers that required high operator expertise. To meet growing market demand for on‑demand, high‑quality arches, DynaFlex turned to Stratasys and its J700 Dental 3D printer.

Stratasys’ J700 enabled DynaFlex to build a dedicated 3D Printing Center and adopt a fully digital workflow; the J700 prints 40–60 arches per tray and can produce up to 1,500 arches per day, allowing DynaFlex to target production in excess of 1,000 arches daily and pre-wire two additional J700 stations for rapid expansion. Combined with existing Stratasys Objet260 and Objet500 machines, the solution delivered greater throughput, simpler operation and the capacity to capture more clear aligner market share.
