Due Pi Greco optimizes product development and opens up new production applications with FDM technology

Due Pi Greco, a Treviso-based product development and manufacturing services firm founded in 2010 with a 300-square-meter workshop and a dedicated 200-square-meter additive manufacturing area, needed to meet customer demands for functional production parts with superior structural performance and reliability. Already using Stratasys FDM printers for prototyping, the company partnered with Stratasys (via local partner Energy Group) and invested in the Fortus 380mc Carbon Fiber Edition and FDM Nylon 12CF to achieve CNC-like strength and open up new production applications.

By deploying the Stratasys Fortus 380mc CFE and leveraging high-performance FDM materials (Nylon 12CF—35% chopped carbon fiber—plus ULTEM 1010, ASA and ST-130), Due Pi Greco transitioned from prototyping to series production, cutting lead times and costs versus traditional metal/CNC methods, enabling faster design iterations and delivering improved surface finish and durability. Stratasys technology produced measurable results on projects such as the University of Padua airbox and a high-end bicycle seat—significantly reducing time and cost, meeting performance requirements, and unlocking new business opportunities for Due Pi Greco.
