Digital Dentistry Enhances Service Quality with 3D Printing

Sense & Beauty Dental Clinic (SBDC), a one-stop dental center in Taiwan serving over 10,000 patients annually, faced slow, wasteful and less-accurate workflows from traditional handcrafted stone models for diagnostics, crowns and implants. To speed up production and improve precision for patient-specific treatments and surgical planning, SBDC turned to Stratasys and adopted the Objet Eden 260V 3D printer.

Stratasys’ solution converts intra-oral scans to printable STL files and 3D prints jawbones, dentures, surgical guides and fixtures, enabling technicians to produce a denture in about half a day instead of weeks. The Stratasys Objet Eden 260V improved fit and surface detail for implants, increased surgical safety and patient confidence, reduced discomfort and recovery time, and helped SBDC become a regional education hub for digital dentistry.
