Delkor Accelerates Packaging Tooling Production with SAF® Technology

Delkor Systems, a Minneapolis-based manufacturer of robotic packaging systems for the food, beverage, and consumer goods industries, needed a scalable way to produce high volumes of customized end-of-arm tooling and production-grade components. As demand and deadlines increased, Delkor found that traditional manufacturing and earlier additive methods could not consistently deliver the throughput or lead times required without adding cost and complexity. Stratasys provided the 3D printing technology used to address this challenge.

Stratasys implemented the H350™ 3D printer powered by SAF® (Selective Absorption Fusion) technology, along with the PowderEase™ T1 post-processing solution, to streamline tooling production. The result was a 30-minute reduction in hands-on post-processing time per build, 50% faster time-to-part than previous AM methods, and 60% lower production costs for tooling, while also enabling scalable, repeatable, isotropic parts with injection-mold-like surface finishes.
