A Stratasys Case Study
Clarkson College, an educational institution offering healthcare programs, sought to develop a unique 3D printing education program and lab to serve both its students and external medical partners. Their goal was to move 3D printing for surgical planning and patient education beyond hospital walls and make it more accessible, providing hands-on training for technologists and high-quality models for surgeons. To achieve this, they partnered with vendor Stratasys.
Using Stratasys Digital Anatomy technology, Clarkson College established a 3D printing lab and developed a Medical 3D Printing Specialist Certificate program. The Stratasys solution enabled them to create highly realistic, multi-material anatomical models for surgical practice, patient education, and use in legal cases. This resulted in improved patient understanding and consent, better surgical preparation to reduce operating time and costs, and the ability to offer this advanced training and service worldwide.
