A Stratasys Case Study
Boston University's engineering faculty identified a challenge in their curriculum: while providing strong theoretical knowledge, they were not offering sufficient practical, hands-on experience to prepare students for real-world engineering. To address this, they partnered with Stratasys to equip a new facility.
The solution implemented with Stratasys was the creation of the Engineering Product Innovation Center (EPIC), which was outfitted with multiple FDM and PolyJet 3D printers. This allowed student teams to quickly prototype and iterate designs for real client projects. The results were highly successful, empowering students to achieve professional-level outcomes and making the facility an integral part of the curriculum for approximately 1,000 students annually.
