3Diemme, an Italian biomedical services company that supports dentists and maxillofacial surgeons, needed a more accurate and efficient way to produce surgical guides. Their existing 3D printing workflow required time-consuming support generation and manual nesting, and removing supports sometimes damaged the guides, creating a bottleneck in a fast-moving digital process.

With Stratasys J5 DentaJet printers and GrabCAD software, 3Diemme implemented a multi-material PolyJet workflow with automated nesting and support generation. The result was a jump from 8 surgical guides per day to nearly 50, while improving accuracy, repeatability, reliability, and safety without adding staff.
