Case Study: CammPro achieves up to 75% cost and time savings in accurate prototyping with the Stratasys Connex 3D Printer

A Stratasys Case Study

Preview of the CammPro Case Study

3D Printing for a Sustainable Business Model

CammPro, the prototyping division of the Camm Engineering Group, faced unsustainably high costs and long lead times from traditional CNC, tooling and injection-molding prototyping—often topping $10,000 per prototype. To produce accurate, lower-cost prototypes in-house, CammPro invested in an Objet® Connex™ 3D Printer from Stratasys.

Using Stratasys’ Connex printer and Digital Materials, CammPro produces multi-material, functionally representative prototypes (including tailored Shore A hardness) that clients can hold and verify before tooling. The Stratasys solution cut prototyping cost and time by up to 75%, sped design approvals (for example, a dual-material spray housing), and helped CammPro expand its services into universities and research institutes.
