3D Print Bureau of Texas Creates Intricate Heart Models

3D Print Bureau of Texas, a Houston-based service bureau, faced long, labor-intensive post-processing when producing patient-specific cardiac models for pre-surgical planning. Working with Stratasys technologies — including the PolyJet Connex3 3D printer and SUP706 soluble support material — the bureau needed clearer, multi-material models and faster removal of support from complex internal geometries.

Stratasys’ PolyJet printing and SUP706 soluble support allowed 3D Print Bureau of Texas to print multi-color, multi-hardness heart models and dramatically cut manual support removal from about 8 hours to 2 hours (a 6‑hour, 75% reduction), reducing technicians’ hands-on time and speeding delivery. The improved fidelity and turnaround enabled more effective pre-op planning with partners like Houston Methodist, contributing to successful, lower-risk surgical outcomes.
