To replace manual processes and integrate finance, HR and student data from Ellucian Banner, Montana State turned to Strata Decision Technology and implemented Axiom software for budgeting and forecasting, labor planning, and reporting and analytics.

Strata Decision Technology’s Axiom centralized data from Banner, automated workflows and budget adjustments, and standardized labor planning across campuses, enabling on‑demand budget requests tied to strategic plans and automated posting of approved adjustments to Banner. As a result, units now budget at 98% for the upcoming fiscal year while easily modeling a mandated 2% reduction when needed, users create ad hoc reports and drill to transaction detail for faster, more transparent decision‑making, and the Budget Office has streamlined approvals and oversight across the university.
